Cookies & how we use them.
How TradingVerdict uses cookies and similar technologies — what we store, why, how long, and how you stay in control.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files your browser stores on your device. They range from remembering preferences to collecting anonymous statistics about how the site is used. We also use localStorage to remember your cookie choice so the banner does not reappear on every visit. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Cookie categories
Necessary

- rt-cookie-consent-v1 (localStorage)Until you clear itRemembers your cookie choice so we do not ask again.

- _ga, _ga_…Up to 24 monthsGoogle Analytics 4 — distinguishes users and sessions (IP anonymised). Loaded only after consent.
Marketing
Requires consent · off by defaultUsed only if we later buy traffic via Google Ads, so we can measure ad performance. Off by default — you have to opt in.
- _gcl_au, NIDUp to 90 daysGoogle Ads conversion tracking and ad personalisation.
Cookies set by the firms we link to
When you click an ad link and continue to a prop firm, broker or tool, that company (or its affiliate network) may set its own cookies on their site to credit us for the referral. Those cookies are governed by their privacy and cookie policies, not ours — we do not control them and cannot read them.
We log the outbound click on our side (which link, when) so we can measure what is useful and reconcile commissions. See our privacy policy and affiliate disclosure for the full picture.
How we handle consent
The first time you visit, you see a consent banner. Until you make a choice, Google Analytics runs in cookieless mode via Google Consent Mode v2 — we collect only aggregated, anonymous signals without setting identifying cookies. Accepting analytics enables full measurement.
If you prefer never to send data to Google, you can:
- Click “Necessary only” in the consent banner.
- Use an ad blocker that blocks
googletagmanager.comandgoogle-analytics.com. - Enable “Do Not Track” — we respect the DNT header.
Your choice is stored locally in your browser. Change it any time with the button above, or by clearing your browser’s local data.
